Catholic dioceses hold formation events and theological seminars

Various Catholic dioceses are conducting religious formation and community activities. In the Diocese of Chillán, clergy completed a week of formation at Casa Tabor. Led by Mons. Álvaro Chordi, the program focused on helping priests redefine their mission within a secularized cultural context, emphasizing new methods of evangelization and community renewal.

The Diocese of Asidonia-Jerez has announced its 37th Diocesan Theology Week, scheduled for September 14–16. The event will focus on Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical, ‘Magnifica Humanitas,’ covering anthropological foundations, the challenges and risks of artificial intelligence, and pastoral implications.

Additionally, youth from the Diocese of Asidonia-Jerez recently participated in an ecumenical pilgrimage to the Taizé community. Led by Father Pablo Gómez Mateos and Father Pablo Mula, the trip aimed to foster spiritual growth and connection among young parishioners through prayer and communal experience.
