Catholic dioceses in Bosnia and Croatia hold youth gatherings in late May 2026

The Archdiocese of Vrhbosna in Bosnia organized the 55th Vrhbosna Youth Day on 29‑30 May 2026 at the Marian shrine in Komušina, under the theme “Be brave, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Archbishop Tomo Vukšić invited young people to renew their faith through prayer, Eucharist and communal activities.

In Croatia, the Diocese of Rijeka hosted a youth encounter on 28 May 2026 at the Church of the Assumption in Rijeka. The event, titled “Closer to God I go,” featured a spiritual program, confession, and a performance by the duo “ZANAS,” who presented original Christian‑themed songs blending pop and trap influences.

Both gatherings aimed to strengthen young Catholics’ commitment, provide formation, and encourage creative expression of faith.
