Catholic General Gymnasium Popovača celebrates School Day

The Catholic General Gymnasium in Popovača celebrated its School Day with a formal academy held on October 12, 2026. This event marked the first time the celebration took place within the school’s own newly renovated facilities.

Following a year of operating in temporary locations, students and staff moved into the new building in early September, which was renovated by the City of Popovača. The ceremony was attended by Sisak Bishop Vlado Košić, Mayor Josip Mišković, and Gymnasium Director Josip Bulat.

The program included student performances highlighting the school’s history and community spirit. Special attention was given to the spiritual legacy of Saint Carlo Acutis, the school’s patron saint, whose feast day coincides with the celebration.
