Catholic leaders address community journey and youth migration

Bishop Domenico Pompili has introduced his fourth pastoral letter, titled ‘Sulla via’ (On the Way), which explores the concept of the Christian journey through various artistic and cultural lenses. The letter, which spans over 100 pages, references works ranging from Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings to the poetry of Dante and Antonio Machado. Pompili emphasizes that the path of the Church is not pre-determined but is created through movement and community action.

In a separate address at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV met with approximately 150 seminarians from Molfetta and Aversa. The Pope emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable populations, specifically highlighting young people who are forced to migrate in search of employment and better opportunities. He called for closeness to families facing economic hardship, the elderly, and those marginalized by society, noting that spiritual life must be supported by community and fraternity.
