Catholic leaders offer spiritual guidance amid regional social crises

Various Catholic religious leaders across Latin America have delivered Sunday homilies focusing on finding spiritual presence during times of crisis and social difficulty.

In Argentina, Bishop José Vicente Conejero Gallego reflected on community belonging and upcoming religious festivities. In Bolivia, Archbishop Oscar Aparicio addressed economic crises and social divisions, urging the faithful to move from being witnesses to announcers of faith. In Mexico, Monsignor Néstor Martínez Sánchez spoke in Monclova about recognizing divinity amidst unemployment and addiction, while in Peru, Cardinal Carlos Castillo emphasized serving the poor as a way to express true faith.

In Ecuador, the Sanctuary of El Cisne has expanded its mass schedule to accommodate a massive influx of devotees arriving for the traditional pilgrimage to Loja.
