Catholic Liturgical Readings for Saint Evaristus and Saint Rafael Guízar y Valencia

Religious liturgical texts provide readings for the feast days of Saint Evaristus, Pope and Martyr, and Saint Rafael Guízar y Valencia, Bishop of Veracruz.

The readings for Saint Evaristus include a prayer of thanks for the earth's harvest and a passage from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians, which encourages believers to live as children of light through kindness, forgiveness, and avoiding immorality.

The readings for Saint Rafael Guízar y Valencia, the patron of the Mexican Episcopate, feature passages from the Book of Isaiah regarding the anointing of the Lord to bring good news to the poor, and Psalm 22, which describes the Lord as a shepherd who provides security and guidance.
