Catholic organizations empower female religious voices in global communication

Catholic leadership and organizations are implementing new initiatives to amplify the voices of female religious, particularly those serving in African communities. The Hilton Foundation and the Dicastery for Communication have established the Pentecost Project to help Sisters communicate their experiences and restore dignity to the communities they serve through lived experience and cultural proximity.

In a broader structural shift, Sister Francine-Phily Kouadio has been named vice-president of SIGNIS Africa, emphasizing continental unity. Recent dialogues within the SIGNIS framework also focus on digital ethics, urging communicators to prioritize pastoral substance and personal discipleship over the pursuit of becoming digital influencers. Additionally, discussions have integrated the concept of integral ecology, linking environmental stewardship with the defense of human dignity in global media strategies.
