Catholic parishes in Poland prepare for religious anniversaries

Catholic parishes in Poland are preparing for various religious observances and commemorations in late September and early October 2026.

The Pelplin Diocese will observe Rosary Sunday on October 4, marking the 200th anniversary of the Living Rosary, a movement founded by Blessed Paulina Jaricot in 1826. Local communities are organizing prayer sessions, meetings, and the blessing of rosaries.

In Opole Lubelskie, prayer services are scheduled for September 28 to commemorate the beatification anniversary of Father Michał Sopoćko, the confessor of Saint Faustina. Other scheduled activities include Holy Hours, confessions, and preparatory masses for children receiving their First Holy Communion.
