Catholic Youth Day 2026 to feature World Youth Day Cross tour

The Catholic Youth Day (KJD) is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2026, with a central theme of unity based on the Gospel of John.

In preparation for the event, the World Youth Day (WJD) Cross will embark on a tour through the seven dioceses of the Netherlands. The tour is set to begin on September 6 in the Diocese of Breda and will conclude in the Archdiocese of Utrecht in early November. The cross will be transferred to a different diocese every Friday, staying for one week at each location.

The tour itinerary includes stops in Haarlem-Amsterdam, Groningen-Leeuwarden, Rotterdam, 's-Hertogenbosch, and Roermond. The journey will culminate in a “grand finale” at the Catholic Youth Day on November 7, 2026, providing Dutch youth an opportunity to connect with the cross ahead of the next World Youth Day in Seoul, South Korea.
