Catholic youth engagement sees growth through SEEK conference and Irish renewal

The SEEK 2026 Catholic conference set a new attendance record, drawing more than 26,000 young participants across three host cities. This represents a 24% increase in attendance compared to previous cycles, suggesting a rising demand for large-scale religious gatherings among young people.

In Ireland, Church leaders have noted a “real spiritual hunger” among younger Catholics, characterized by increased confidence and intentionality regarding faith. This trend is being highlighted ahead of CHARIS Ireland’s National Day of Renewal. Organizers suggest that while historical challenges to witnessing faith exist in Ireland, groups such as Jesus Youth and NET Ministries are helping young adults develop deeper religious roots.
