Catholic youth gatherings held in Medellín and Santiago

Religious gatherings for children and adolescents took place in Medellín, Colombia, and Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, focusing on prayer and service.

In Medellín, approximately 1,200 altar servers and members of vocational schools gathered at the Metropolitan Cathedral for an archdiocesan encounter. Presided over by Father Reinel Zapata, the event emphasized unity and the spiritual importance of service. Zapata encouraged the youth to view their roles as a way to live and announce God's love.

In Santiago de los Caballeros, the Archdiocese hosted a ‘Living Holy Rosary’ at the Santiago Apóstol Cathedral. Led by Father Regino Collado, 50 children and adolescents participated in the prayer activity to mark the Month of the Rosary. The event included catechesis on the Ten Commandments and musical accompaniment by soprano Gertrudis Ely and pianist Katherine Disla.
