CATL founder Zeng Yuqun builds 300 million yuan mountain mansion
Zeng Yuqun, the founder and chairman of CATL—the world’s largest electric vehicle battery manufacturer—has constructed a massive luxury mansion on a mountain peak in his hometown. The estate, estimated to cost approximately 300 million yuan (roughly 1 trillion Vietnamese dong), is designed with a feng shui orientation described as “backing the mountain and facing the sea.”
The property occupies an entire mountain summit, offering expansive views of the surrounding landscape and city. Notable features of the residence include a private helipad measuring over 100 square meters located directly in front of the entrance to facilitate private aerial travel. The architecture follows a traditional Chinese style, characterized by tiered dark grey tiled roofs that contrast with the surrounding mountain greenery.
