CATL launches direct online shop for battery sales

CATL, China’s largest battery manufacturer, has launched a direct-to-consumer online shop called ‘CATL Mall’. The initiative aims to bypass traditional intermediaries and allow smaller businesses that previously could not meet high minimum order quotas to purchase components directly.

The webshop offers battery cells, including LFP cells at a price of approximately $63 per kWh. To facilitate smaller orders, the company has set a new minimum requirement of 3 boxes or 600 cells. Customers purchasing through this platform receive a five-year manufacturer warranty at no extra cost, with orders typically dispatched within three to five days.
