Católica‑Lisbon Business School Launches António Horta Osório Excellence Award

The Católica‑Lisbon School of Business and Economics announced a new annual António Horta Osório Excellence Award worth €15,000. The prize will be given to the graduate with the highest final grade in the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management programme, including its international track. It is funded by a €1.5 million donation from the Horta Osório family, which also supports the development of the Campus Veritati and initiatives for student mental‑health wellbeing. The award will be presented each November by António Horta Osório, an alumnus of the school and a senior international banker.

The university already runs a merit‑based scholarship scheme that grants full three‑year scholarships to all incoming students with admission scores above 18 points, and it aims to further attract and retain top talent. Católica‑Lisbon is ranked among the top 25 business schools in Europe, enrolling roughly 400 undergraduate and 800 postgraduate students from dozens of nationalities. Applications for the Business Administration and Management and Economics programmes close on 11 August.
