Cattolica extends nursery school hours to support working families

The municipality of Cattolica is introducing changes to the operating hours of the Torconca and Ventena nursery schools for the 2026-2027 school year. These measures aim to better support working families and improve work-life balance.

Starting January 7, 2027, afternoon services will be extended by thirty minutes, remaining open until 16:00 instead of the current 15:30 closing time. Additionally, for three-year-old children, the return to afternoon sessions will be moved forward from January to November 9, providing two extra months of service.

Vice Mayor and Councilor for Educational Policies Federico Vaccarini stated that the goal is to respond to the needs of families while ensuring children spend more time in an educational environment. These updates follow previous initiatives, including the opening of a fifth nursery section and the stabilization of educators for children with disabilities.
