Cattolica to host open water swimming events with Gregorio Paltrinieri

Cattolica will host two major open water swimming events this September. The “Dominate The Water” circuit, created by Olympic and world champion Gregorio Paltrinieri, returns to the city on Saturday, September 19.

Following this, the Italian Swimming Federation (Federazione Italiana Nuoto) will hold the Italian Master Open Water Swimming Championships on Sunday, September 20. This event, featuring a 3 km distance, was relocated to Cattolica from Piombino. The initiative is part of a collaboration between the Emilia-Romagna Region and Paltrinieri to promote sports, environmental sustainability, and respect for the Adriatic Sea.
