Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway speed limit reduced to 100 km/h

The maximum speed limit on the Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway is scheduled to be reduced from 120 km/h to 100 km/h, effective October 12, 2026. This adjustment follows a directive from the Department of Roads of Vietnam to enhance traffic safety and ensure stable operations.

The decision was made after reviewing the actual operating conditions of the route to ensure infrastructure compatibility and synchronization with adjacent expressway sections. While the speed limit for sections currently set at 120 km/h will decrease, other speed regulations and traffic organization measures on the route will remain unchanged.

The new regulations will take effect once the corresponding road signaling systems have been updated and implemented. The Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway is approximately 50 km long and serves as a critical corridor connecting to the southern gateway of Hanoi. Plans are also underway to expand the expressway from four to six lanes, with construction expected to begin in 2026 and completion targeted for 2028.
