Cauã Reymond's new Globoplay series 'Jogada de Risco' launches July 23
Brazil's Globoplay will debut the eight‑episode drama series "Jogada de Risco" on 23 July. Created, written, produced and starring actor Cauã Reymond, the show follows former footballer Maurício, whose career ends after injuries and mismanagement by his father, as he becomes an agent navigating debts, power struggles and opaque negotiations in the sport's underworld.
The series depicts the “lado proibidão do futebol”, exposing contracts, influence peddling and personal scandals that unfold off the pitch. Reymond says the idea arose from his curiosity about the sport's behind‑the‑scenes dynamics. Production credits include director Bruno Safadi, writers Thiago Dottori and Sofia Maria, text supervisor Lucas Paraizo and artistic direction by José Luiz Villamarim. Supporting characters portray a lawyer partner, a former luxury escort who runs private parties, and a journalist trying to break into the arena. The first two episodes drop on 23 July, with subsequent releases scheduled through August.
