Caucete Council requests reports on potential loss of public works funds
The Caucete Deliberative Council has approved a formal request for information from Mayor Romina Rosas regarding the municipality's fiscal status. The inquiry follows reports suggesting that Caucete may have failed to comply with the Municipal Fiscal Responsibility Law (Provincial Law 1812-I).
Non-compliance could jeopardize the department's access to funds from the Regional Development Fund (FODERE), which are essential for infrastructure projects such as paving, lighting, and public space recovery. While the reports indicate Caucete is among six municipalities at risk of losing these resources, the Council noted that no official sanction has been confirmed yet.
The Council's initiative aims to clarify whether administrative irregularities or provincial decisions could restrict the arrival of these funds and to ensure transparency regarding the continuity of planned public works.
