Cava de’ Tirreni to hold seismic risk simulation
The city of Cava de’ Tirreni is organizing a series of events for the National Civil Protection Week to test its municipal emergency plan and promote prevention culture among residents.
A central seismic risk simulation exercise is scheduled for Saturday, October 17. This drill will involve the immediate activation of the Municipal Operations Center (COC) following a simulated earthquake triggered via the Librarisk application. The app provides citizens with evacuation plans and designated escape routes.
On Sunday, October 18, an information point for the national ‘Io non rischio’ campaign will be established in Piazza Duomo. Local officials, including Mayor Raffaele Giordano and Civil Protection head Francesco Loffredo, emphasized the vital role of volunteers and organized groups in preparing the community for exceptional events.
