Cavalleria Rusticana opera presented in Civitella Roveto and Cagliari

The first season of the "Opera in Drink" series opens in Civitella Roveto on 23 July 2026 with an aperitif lounge followed by a staged performance of Pietro Mascagni’s *Cavalleria Rusticana*. The production is a co‑production among the Off Limits theatre association, the Vincenzo Zanello auditorium, the local cultural association, the municipality and Café Colacicchi, featuring singers Giulia De Blasis, Beatrice Fallocco, Benedetto Agostino, Giulio Coletta and Federica Pasquarelli, narrator Mauro Ranalletta and pianist Monica Tortora.

Meanwhile, the touring company of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari brings *Cavalleria Rusticana* to the open‑air Teatro del Mare in the Parco del Nervi as part of the "Rotte Sonore Summer 2026" festival. Performances are scheduled for 24‑25 July 2026, directed by violinist Matteo Beltrami and conducted by Riccardo Pinna. The cast includes Rachele Stanisci (Santuzza), Marco Berti (Turiddu), Elena Schirru (Lola), Angelo Veccia (Alfio) and Cristina Melis (Lucia). Both events emphasize community engagement by staging the opera in historic public squares.
