Cavallerleone primary school secured for 2026‑27 academic year

The primary school in Cavallerleone will remain open for the 2026/2027 school year after authorities approved the activation of a multi‑grade (pluriclasse) class.

Mayor Marcellino Peretti warned that the lack of sufficient enrolments could force the school to close, prompting local officials to act. Senator Giorgio Maria Bergesio and Villanova Solaro Mayor Gabriele Giletta worked with the regional School Office director Stefano Suraniti and territorial director Umberto Pelassa to secure the decision. The approval ensures continued education for local families and supports efforts to counter depopulation in small Italian municipalities.
