Cavan Sullivan plays central role in Philadelphia Union resurgence
Philadelphia Union prospect Cavan Sullivan has emerged as a central figure for the club during a period of significant transition. Following a difficult first half of the 2026 season that saw the team drop from first to 30th place and the dismissal of head coach Bradley Carnell, Sullivan maintained his development by requesting to train with the Union II side during the summer break.
Sullivan, who has a pre-agreed transfer to Manchester City upon turning 18, has since transitioned into a key contributor for the first team. In a recent match against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium, the 16-year-old recorded two assists to help the Union secure a 3-2 comeback victory. The win was bolstered by two goals from Bruno Damiani, who rallied the team after they trailed by two goals at halftime.
