Cavriglia completes 600,000 euro renovation of public housing
Arezzo Casa has completed the redevelopment of ten public housing units in the Santa Barbara area of Cavriglia, Italy. The project, located on via Montetermini, involved a total investment of 600,000 euros funded through the national ‘Sicuro, verde e sociale’ program as part of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan).
The renovation focused on improving the building's energy performance and architectural appearance. Key technical upgrades included replacing the old 4-5 centimeter insulation with a new 12-centimeter rock wool thermal cladding system. Additionally, work was carried out on the building's roofs, including waterproofing repairs and the replacement of floating floors, as well as the renewal of plaster and facades.
The funding was made possible through the reallocation of regional resources from the Tuscany Region. The building was originally part of the PNRR ‘List B’ (reserve projects) and received funding due to savings generated from the completion of priority projects in ‘List A’. The project was completed despite the logistical challenges of working while residents remained in their apartments.
