Caxias do Sul launches Municipal Crochet Week workshops

Caxias do Sul has launched the 2026 Municipal Crochet Week, featuring a series of free workshops held throughout late August. The initiative, established by municipal law, aims to promote crochet as an artistic, cultural, and social expression while supporting income generation and the preservation of local identity.

The workshops, which do not require prior registration, are being held at Casa 20 and Praça CEU. This year's program focuses on the exchange of knowledge between local artisans and the community, incorporating crochet squares into the creation of original pieces alongside crochet flowers.
