Caxias do Sul students to present research in Italy

Four high school students from Escola Polyuni, part of the Uniftec University Center, are traveling to Mantua, Italy, in October to present research at an international scientific exhibition.

The students earned their place in the European competition after securing first and second place at the Northeast Science and Technology Fair (FENECIT) in Recife last year. Their research projects include an investigation into Gaucho and Caxiense culture with a focus on viticulture, as well as a study on the relationship between basketball practice and emotional well-being.

According to school director Alexandra Cemin, the initiative encourages students to utilize official sources and deepen their knowledge through classroom-based scientific inquiry. The trip, scheduled for October 15, will allow the students to exchange experiences with international peers.
