Cayman Islands records ninth consecutive month of stayover visitor growth
The Cayman Islands has recorded its ninth consecutive month of stayover visitor growth. In July 2026, the destination welcomed 45,053 stayover visitors, representing a 10% increase compared to July 2025.
Between January and July 2026, total stayover arrivals reached a record 333,747, an 11% increase year-over-year. This growth was largely driven by double-digit increases from the United States and Continental Europe. The United States market saw the largest absolute increase with 37,910 visitors, up 12% from the previous year.
While cruise passenger arrivals in July 2026 saw a 23% decline compared to July 2025 due to fewer cruise calls, the year-to-date figure for cruise passengers remains 4% higher than the same period in 2025. Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Trade Development Gary Rutty noted that the growth in visitation helps drive business advancement and sustains employment within the nation.
