Cazorla natural park features visitor center and historical sites

The Torre del Vinagre Visitor Center, located within the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park in Jaén, serves as a hub for environmental education and information. Fina Martínez, the Counselor for Sustainability and the Environment of the Junta de Andalucía, recently inspected the facilities. The center is managed by the company Natura Reptil under a nine-year service concession aimed at promoting ecotourism and the conservation of natural heritage.

Cazorla is a significant destination in the province of Jaén, featuring the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, which is Spain’s largest natural park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Key historical and cultural sites in the area include the Castillo de la Yedra, an Arabic-origin fortress that houses the Museum of Arts and Popular Customs of the Alto Guadalquivir, and the 16th-century Cerezuelo River Vault, a hydraulic engineering work that allows visitors to walk beneath the town.
