Regional updates: Paraguay roadworks, migrant rescues, and Spanish municipal developments
In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and the Rutas del Sur consortium have requested residents in Villa Elisa, Fernando de la Mora, San Lorenzo, Ñemby, and San Antonio to relocate commercial signs, niches, and monuments along Route PY01. This measure is necessary for the upcoming duplication and improvement works. Owners have 30 days to move these structures; otherwise, the contractor will remove and safeguard them.
In Spain, several regional developments are underway. In Lanzarote, emergency services rescued 189 migrants from four precarious vessels traveling from West Africa. In La Laguna, the Las Mantecas Skatepark is undergoing a 280,000-euro renovation to accommodate skateboarding, BMX, roller, and scooter disciplines. Additionally, the City Council and CB Canarias have extended their sponsorship agreement until 2029. In San Bartolomé de Tirajana, municipal advertising must be removed by September 24 following the expiration of a long-standing provisional concession. Other local updates include a new collective agreement for the metalworking and electrical sectors in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and road improvements in Teverga.
In Cádiz, Cádiz CF has signed a two-season sponsorship deal with Surcontrol Academy to integrate industrial automation and robotics training into its growth strategy.
