CBF announces development plan and master‑sponsor search for Tocantins state championship 2027
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) met with the Federação Tocantinense de Futebol (FTF) in Palmas on 4 April. CBF president Samir Xaud, joined by vice‑president Gustavo Henrique and FTF president Leomar Quintanilha, presented a joint development programme for football in the state of Tocantins. The plan targets stronger state competitions, expanded youth and women’s programmes, improved refereeing and support for amateur leagues.
A central element of the proposal is to secure a master sponsor for the 2027 Campeonato Tocantinense through a naming‑rights agreement, aiming to generate new private‑sector revenue and reduce financial gaps between Brazil’s regional federations. The CBF pledged ongoing institutional support to help the state federation and its clubs implement the initiative.
