CBF announces referees for Copa do Brasil quarterfinals

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced the referees for the first-leg matches of the 2026 Copa do Brasil quarterfinals. The schedule features several major Brazilian derbies scheduled for late August.

Flávio Rodrigues de Souza will officiate the match between Cruzeiro and Atlético-MG on August 25. On August 26, Matheus Candançan will referee Vasco vs. Vitória, while Bruno Arleu de Araújo will handle the Palmeiras vs. Santos fixture.

For the Gre-Nal derby between Internacional and Grêmio on August 27, the CBF selected Ramon Abatti Abel. The 36-year-old referee from Santa Catarina has international experience, including roles in the FIFA World Cup and officiating the men's football final at the Paris Olympics.
