CBF Balducci HR names Giorgia Caforio captain for 2026/27 season

CBF Balducci HR has officially named Giorgia Caforio as the team captain for the 2026/27 season in the LVF A1 Fineco championship. Caforio, a middle blocker born in 1994, is entering her second season with the Macerata-based club.

Asia Bonelli, a setter born in 2000, has been appointed as vice captain. Bonelli is entering her fourth season with the team and was a key figure in the club's recent promotion to A1 and subsequent survival in the top tier.

The announcement took place during a public presentation in Piazza della Libertà in Macerata, held as part of the San Giuliano patron saint festivities. The event was attended by hundreds of people, including club officials such as President Pietro Paolella, Sporting Director Maurizio Storani, and Operations Director Lucia Bosetti. The presentation also included representatives from the youth sector and new signings, including middle blocker Alesia Mazzaroe and setter Roberta Carraro.
