CBF President Samir Xaud to visit Campo Grande

Samir Xaud, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), is scheduled to visit Campo Grande on September 2 and 3. During his two-day itinerary, Xaud will visit the Bioparque Pantanal and the Estádio Universitário Pedro Pedrossian, also known as Morenão.

One of the primary objectives of the visit is to inspect the ongoing recovery works at the Morenão stadium. The facility, owned by the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), is undergoing structural interventions, including a grass replacement project, to prepare it for official matches. The state government is also working on a project to grant the stadium's administration to the private sector, having recently hired a specialized consultancy to structure this concession model.

Additionally, Xaud will participate in the inauguration of the Football Development Center alongside Estevão Petrallás of the Mato Grosso do Sul Football Federation (FFMS). During his stay, the Campo Grande City Council will also present him with the title of ‘Visitante Ilustre de Campo Grande’ (Distinguished Visitor of Campo Grande) in a ceremony at the Bioparque Pantanal.
