CBF releases Brasileirão schedules and updates on Série C and D promotion playoffs
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has released the detailed schedules for rounds 27 through 30 of the Brasileirão Série A, set to take place between September 11 and October 12, 2026. The schedule includes several major regional derbies and high-stakes matchups, such as Flamengo vs. Corinthians and Palmeiras vs. São Paulo. Notably, the 30th round will feature three simultaneous major classics on October 11 at 17:30: Flamengo vs. Fluminense, Palmeiras vs. Corinthians, and Grêmio vs. Internacional.
In the lower divisions, the second phase of Série C is commencing. Teams like Santa Cruz, Botafogo-PB, Maringá, and Floresta are competing in a quadrangular format to secure promotion to Série B for 2027. Due to a history of violence between organized supporter groups, the Public Ministry of Paraíba has recommended that matches between Santa Cruz and Botafogo-PB potentially be held behind closed doors to ensure public safety.
Additionally, the Série D playoffs are underway to determine the final spots for promotion to Série C.
