CBF requests MP investigation into Gaviões da Fiel president

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has filed a criminal representation and a request for measures with the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo against Alexandre Domenico Pereira, known as Alê, the president of the Gaviões da Fiel supporters group.

The action follows social media posts by Pereira in which he criticized Brazilian officiating, alleging that Corinthians has been disadvantaged by referees. In his posts, Pereira claimed to have information regarding the locations where referees stay before matches and stated, “This is not a threat. We are just warning that it is becoming unsustainable to hold back the crowd.”

The CBF stated that while criticism of officiating is a legitimate part of the sporting environment, the comments crossed the line into intimidation and threats. The entity is seeking an investigation into whether confidential information regarding referee accommodations was leaked and is requesting urgent measures to reinforce the protection of officials during Corinthians matches.
