CBF to scout Gre-Nal matches for Brazilian national teams

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will deploy scouts to observe players during the upcoming Gre-Nal quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. These matches between Grêmio and Internacional will serve as evaluation opportunities for both the senior Brazilian national team and the U-23 Olympic squad.

For the first leg at Beira-Rio on August 27, technical manager Juan dos Santos and physical trainer Cristiano Nunes will be in attendance. The second leg at the Arena will be monitored by Paulo Victor, the coach for the U-23 category, as part of the preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics qualifiers.

While head coach Carlo Ancelotti is currently observing players in Europe, the reports from these matches will provide data to his technical staff. The scouting mission is part of a broader CBF initiative to have observers present at all Copa do Brasil quarterfinal matches.
