CBFC mandates cuts and adult warning for Robert Pattinson film Primetime

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted an ‘A’ certificate to the Hollywood film ‘Primetime’, starring Robert Pattinson, following several mandated edits. The changes, completed on September 22, include the removal of seven seconds of frontal nudity and the muting of two obscene words.

In addition to visual and audio cuts, the board required an adult-content warning at the beginning of the film. The disclaimer advises viewers that the film is intended for adults due to its sensitive themes and disturbing visual material. The final certified runtime is 1 hour, 50 minutes, and 15 seconds.

Directed by Lance Oppenheim, ‘Primetime’ is based on a 2007 Esquire article by Luke Dittrich. The film depicts Chris Hansen, the NBC journalist known for the ‘To Catch a Predator’ series, which involved using hidden cameras to expose suspected online child predators. The film’s Indian release is being managed by PVR Inox Pictures.
