Distrito Federal: Ride-sharing dispute leads to assault on police officer

A dispute during a ride-sharing trip in Vicente Pires, Distrito Federal, escalated into a physical altercation involving a driver and three female passengers during the early hours of Monday (28/9).

Three off-duty security agents—two military police officers and one civil police agent—intervened to control the situation. During the intervention, one passenger reportedly assaulted a military police officer and attempted to reach for her firearm before being restrained.

Following the incident, the Fire Department provided medical assistance to those with visible injuries. All parties were taken to the 8th Police Station in Estrutural. According to the Civil Police, the driver was identified as a victim of property damage, while the three women were identified as both authors and victims of injury, threats, and insults. One woman was also charged with resistance against the police officer.
