Ariel Levy joins ‘60 Minutes’ as contributor for upcoming season

CBS newsmagazine ‘60 Minutes’ has appointed longtime New Yorker writer and National Magazine Award winner Ariel Levy as a contributor for its upcoming 59th season. Levy, who has spent nearly three decades reporting for New York magazine and The New Yorker, will cover topics including culture, gender, sexuality, and health.

Executive Producer Nick Bilton announced the addition in a staff memo, describing Levy as an ‘astonishingly original writer and reporter’ capable of exploring sensitive topics with depth. Her appointment is part of a broader effort to replenish the show’s journalistic roster following several departures.

Levy joins a group of contributors and correspondents that includes Ross Douthat, Sebastian Junger, Gianna Toboni, and Norah O’Donnell, alongside existing correspondents Bill Whitaker, Lesley Stahl, and Jon Wertheim.
