CBS series Cupertino explores legal accountability in the age of AI

The new CBS legal drama “Cupertino,” created by Robert and Michelle King, follows attorneys Michael Price and Olivia Siffre as they navigate the legal complexities of Silicon Valley. The series focuses on holding major technology companies accountable for the real-world damages caused by their products, rather than engaging in direct battles with the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants.

Plotlines explore the consequences of automated decision-making, including cases involving chatbot influences and errors in automated weapon detection systems. Upcoming episodes are set to tackle class-action lawsuits against AI training companies and legal disputes involving AI-driven music and transplants.

CBS has announced a special programming lineup for Sunday, November 8, featuring a new episode titled “Harper,” followed by encore airings of “Michael & Olivia” and “Vik & Bo.” New episodes are also scheduled to air on Thursday, November 5, and Thursday, November 12.
