CBS Sports hires former college coaches Brian Kelly and Doug Pederson as 2026 football analysts

CBS Sports announced that former Notre Dame and LSU head coach Brian Kelly and former NFL Super Bowl‑winning coach Doug Pederson will join the network as analysts for the 2026 college football season. Kelly will serve as an occasional game analyst and contribute to studio programming, making his booth debut on the Week 0 game between Jacksonville State and North Dakota State on Aug. 29 and will also call two early‑season Pac‑12 matchups. Pederson will appear as an occasional game analyst on CBS Sports Network. The hires come after Kelly’s dismissal by LSU in 2025 and Pederson’s recent tenure coaching the Jacksonville Jaguars, marking their return to football broadcasting.

Both analysts will be featured on CBS Sports Network’s college football coverage, providing commentary and insights for select games throughout the upcoming season.
