CCBB Rio hosts filmmakers to discuss audiovisual creation

The Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil Rio de Janeiro (CCBB RJ) will host a discussion on audiovisual creation on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. As part of the ‘E a Palavra com…’ project, the event will feature filmmaker Heitor Dhalia and writer Marçal Aquino.

Mediated by screenwriter Lucas Paraizo and curated by Daniela Chindler, the conversation will explore scriptwriting processes, the relationship between literature and audiovisual media, and the challenges of adapting literary works for cinema, television, and streaming platforms.

Heitor Dhalia is recognized for works such as ‘O Cheiro do Ralo’ and ‘Serra Pelada’, with experience spanning film and streaming. Marçal Aquino is a journalist and screenwriter known for ‘Nina’ and television productions like ‘Carcereiros’. The event is free to the public, with tickets available via the CCBB website or physical box office.
