CCC Intelligent Solutions to be acquired for $6.1 billion
CCC Intelligent Solutions has agreed to a $6.1 billion take-private deal led by private investment firm GTCR and including Elliott Investment Management. Under the terms of the agreement, shareholders of the Chicago-based company will receive $7.75 in cash per share, representing a 44% premium to the stock’s closing price on July 9.
CCC provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools to the property and casualty insurance industry, connecting more than 35,000 businesses, including insurers, automakers, and repairers. The company’s platform facilitates claims management and damage estimation. CEO Githesh Ramamurthy stated that the new ownership is intended to help the company expand its network and accelerate its artificial intelligence capabilities.
The transaction is not subject to financing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, at which point CCC will become a privately held company.
