Cáceres and Uruguay strengthen cooperation in public management
The Diputación de Cáceres has met with a delegation from the Congress of Intendants of Uruguay to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in public management.
The meeting, led by Miguel Ángel Morales, president of the Diputación de Cáceres, and Carlos Enciso, president of the Uruguayan Congress of Intendants, focused on the Cáceres model of supporting small municipalities. Key areas for potential collaboration include water and sanitation, road maintenance, fire prevention, culture, tax collection, waste management, and rural tourism development.
The visit also included observations of rural development and tourism projects in the Sierra de Gata region. This initiative aligns with upcoming international events, such as the XI Ibero-American Meeting of Rural Tourism and Agrotourism scheduled for November in Guadalupe.
