Cáceres archives school theft inquiries due to expired deadlines

The municipality of Cáceres has archived nine administrative disciplinary inquiries opened by the Municipal Education Secretariat in 2016 because the legal timeframe for punishing the investigated civil servants had expired.

The cases involved various allegations, including the theft of funds from a school unit, irregularities in the execution of National School Feeding Program resources, abandonment of posts by security guards, theft of school materials and televisions, and the misuse of official vehicles.

Following the publication of these decisions in the Municipal Official Gazette, the administration is now required to investigate why these processes remained inactive long enough to reach the statute of limitations.
