Cáceres Blood Donors Brotherhood celebrates 50th anniversary

The Blood Donors Brotherhood of Cáceres celebrated its 50th anniversary during its 48th Ordinary General Assembly held in Cáceres, Spain. The event served as a tribute to the volunteers whose donations ensure hospitals have the necessary blood supplies to treat patients.

During the assembly, distinctions were awarded to regular donors to recognize their ongoing generosity. The ceremony included a minute of silence for deceased donors and the performance of the donor hymn.

Miguel Ángel Morales, president of the Diputación de Cáceres, emphasized the vital nature of blood donation, noting that blood cannot be manufactured and relies entirely on human solidarity. He issued a call to action, specifically urging younger generations to join the donor community to ensure the long-term sustainability of the blood supply chain.
