Cáceres celebrates Brazil's Independence Day with civic parade
The city of Cáceres held a traditional civic-military parade on September 7 to celebrate Brazil's Independence Day. Approximately 7,000 people gathered on Avenida 7 de Setembro to participate in the event, which included students, military personnel, religious representatives, and various cultural and sports associations.
The ceremony began with a military troop review led by Mayor Eliene Liberato Dias, along with representatives from the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Navy. Municipal schools played a significant role in the parade, showcasing pedagogical projects and student work. The event featured various musical bands and fanfares, including one from the Escola Municipal Novo Oriente that utilized instruments made from recycled materials.
