Cáceres hosts 1st Salão das Artes celebrating regional culture

The 1st Salão das Artes – Cartografias das Culturas: Paisagens e Sustentabilidade nos Territórios is opening registration for artists, students, and creators in Cáceres, Mato Grosso. The event, organized by ARTEMAT – Ponto de Cultura Salão das Artes in partnership with UNEMAT, seeks to select 45 original works across five languages: painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and ceramics.

The inaugural edition places a thematic emphasis on history, culture, and Black protagonism, encouraging works that explore Afro-Brazilian heritage, quilombola communities, and ancestral identities. A total prize pool of R$ 4,500.00 will be distributed across a general category and a special drawing category. Registration remains open until October 9.
