Cáceres hosts major national wheelchair padel and climbing events

Cáceres is hosting several high-level sporting events, reinforcing its status as a European City of Sport. The city will host the Spanish Wheelchair Padel Championship for Regional Teams from Friday, the 18th, to Sunday, the 20th, at Club El Encinar. The competition features top players from seven autonomous communities: Castilla y León, Andalusia, Galicia, Madrid, Catalonia, Valencian Community, and Extremadura.

Additionally, the Alberto Ginés climbing gym, a facility costing over 2.6 million euros, is becoming a national training hub. The Andalusian climbing selection recently utilized the center for technical sessions and simulations to prepare for the upcoming Spanish Super Championship, scheduled to take place in Cáceres from September 30 to October 4.
