Cáceres hosts regional agricultural and sustainable food fairs

The province of Cáceres is hosting several events aimed at promoting local agro-food production and rural development. In Coria, the “Tentaciones de Cáceres” sustainable market will take place from October 23 to 25. Organized by the Diputación de Cáceres, the event features the La Vera nos Alimenta association, which promotes agroecological models and food sovereignty. Key initiatives include the “Comedores que hacen comarca” program, designed to supply local schools with seasonal, zero-kilometer food.

Simultaneously, the VI Cheese and Goat Fair has commenced in Cabrero. Inaugurated by Miguel Ángel Morales, president of the Diputación de Cáceres, the fair showcases master cheesemakers from Spain and Portugal. The event includes live demonstrations of artisanal cheese production and traditional cultural performances, aiming to boost local tourism and value the province's pastoral heritage.
